"Say Please"
In my minds eye, everything seems so simple. I try to rationalize everything, only to find it staring right back at me. Seeking out what should be avoided, finding myself inbetween loved and hated. So many years have gone by without a single word of kindness. Just out of my grasp you slip into my pool of tears.
Touching ever so slightly where it hurts, never once did you say please. I think about where life has left its mark, and even still, I crave more scars. Sleeping non-existent, dreams over-rated. Why does my body insist on denying both? Mentally exhausted, too tired to care. All I want to do is fall asleep in your arms and simply melt away.
